How I can help
If you think you’ve got a story to tell, please get in touch using the web form to tell me a brief outline. From there, we’ll have a chat over the phone so that I can find out more and put together a summary before approaching publications who I think will be a best fit for your story. Once a story is accepted by a magazine, I’ll then have another chat to you over the phone to get the rest of the details so that I can write up the full piece.
Will I be paid?
Many people tell a story because they want to raise awareness of a particular cause close to their heart or promote a business. In those cases, I’ll ask the magazine to print a website link or name check. Other times, a fee can be offered in which case I’ll negotiate the best price for you.
Will I hear my story before publication?
In many cases, I can read the story I’ve written over the phone to you before sending it to the editor to check you’re happy with it.
Anything else I should know?
You’ll usually need to be named and pictured although for particularly sensitive stories it’s sometimes possible for the case study to remain anonymous. Most magazines do not send out a photographer so you’ll usually need to send me photos which I can use alongside your story. This can be done by email, Whatsapp or Facebook messenger…easy!
